Lspiner, J.P., in tho Palm-rston North Magistrates Court, yesterday on a charge of drunkenness'he made an appeal for time in which to pay the penalty of £l. plus 3s. 6d. taxi hire. Tim bench advis'd Crozier that the fine inflicted, together with the cost -of his conveyance to the Police Station, would have to be paid forthwith, in default three days’ imprisonment.
