Senior Grounds. With regard to the application of the Kilbirnie Club for a certain number of senior matches to be played on the Kilbirnie ground, it was decided to request the Kilbirnie Club to furnish a plan, showing the measurements of the proposed senior ground, and giving the general lay-out of the playing area. Members agreed that it would stimulate interest in the game if a certain number of matches were played at Kilbirnie, but the general opinion was that there was not sufficient room for a senior match; ‘ Mr. J. Hutchings voiced a complaint concerning the outfield on Petone Oval, which he described as unfit for senior matches. The ball, he said, when thrown in from the deep-field often went off at an angle of forty-five degrees, and occasionally reared up head high. Mr. J. B. Broad stated that both wicket and outfield on the junior ground at Petone were in an even worse condition. It was decided to write to the Petone Club, drawing their attention to the complaints which had been received. Transfers. A complaint was received that the Y.M.C.A. had played a senior player, A.
