SWIMMING

WORSER BAY CLUB. The Worser Bay Swimming Club opened its senson on Saturday afternoon. Mr. IL A. Wright, M.P., patron of the club, in addressing the mgmbeis, referred to the dressing shed erected on the beach hy the council during the winter, and stated that steps wore being taken to procure a similar one on the Seatoun foreshore in the near future. In officially declaring the season open, he congratulated the club on its past performances, and wished it every success. Several races were held, the results being:—soyds. Senior Handicap—W. Duffin’, 1; G. -Tones, 2: S. Lavelle, 3- 25yds., Junior Bovs—ll. Thomas, 1; R. Browne, 2; M. Webley, 3. In the evening an enjoyable dance was held in the clubhouse, under the management of the now isocial committee. The function was a great success.
