DONATION FROM CHATHAM ISLANDS On Saturday the Mayor (Mr. C. J. B. Norwood received a letter from a- Mr. A. L. Willis, convenor of a meeting of residents of the far-away Chatham Islands, at which the Massev Memorial on Point Halswell was discussed. Full testimony was offered to the ability and integrity of the deceased statesman, who was held in the highest esteem at the islands. It was resolved to make a 2s. subscription towards the memorial fund, and as the result the sum of £5 4s. was collected, a cheque for which was forwarded with the letter.
