CHRISTMAS CHEER

As in past years, the Salvation Army are endeavouring this Christmas season to make the lot of those who are havmg a struggle to "keep the wolf from the door’’ easier, by providing parcels of groceries, etc. Officers who have been engaged in this particular work through the year state that while there may pot be so much distress from an unemployment standpoint there are always families who, through the ill-health ot the bread-winner, are unable without assistance from time to time to make ends meet. The Army hopes that those who may be so inclined will come forward with practical monetary assistance to make the lot of those who are not so fortunate a bit brighter this festive season. Donations can be forwarded to the Salvation Army National Headquarters, 305 Cuba Street.
