ENGINE STRIKES BOULDER.

The forepart of the engine of the Otago Central train, from Dunedin to Cromwell, to-day was derailed at FlatStream through striking a boulder ■which had fallen on the line through a slip. No serious damage was done, but the service was interrupted, and the train from Cromwell to Dunedin was four hours late in arriving. The line is now clear.
