Present indications are for south-easterly winds, etronc; to irale; cold and stormy weather, with rain, probable generally; snow on higher levels and a rising barometer everywhere. Two etorm areas are in evidence, one centred in the vicinity of Chatham Islands, and another from 800 to 1000 miles north-westward of New Zealand on tbo Tasman Sea. D. 0. BATES.
