THE ROSEHILL RACES
JONES’S TREBLE WIN. Sydney, August 20. Rosehill racegoers not an eye-opener, though not altogether a surprise, according to the wagering over F. D. Jones’s treble win with his recentlyarrived New Zealand team. One paper comments that Jones worked a good joke upon the Australians by getting his horses fit before he left home, so that they only needed to be sharpened up to make them ready to be backed on the first time out. McCarten rodo with fine judgment in each race.— press Assn.
