WELLINGTON CONVENTION

The United Christian Convention, in which all the Protestant Churches are co-operating, opened its sessions with an inspirational meeting in the Vivian Street Baptist Church. The Rev. R. H. Catherwood presided, and in his address commended the convention to the fervent prayers of believers, pointing out that its great object was tho development of the spiritual life of believers, their growth in grace and in the knowledge of God’s word and will, and their full surrender to tho ideals and powers of the Kingdom of God, Tho meeting was of a very inspiring charactei, tlis large company present entering very heartily into its spirit and purpose.
