STEADY TRAINING WORK. BY TELECKAPH--PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wanganui, March 30. Hadfield and Paddon are training steadily for the race for the world’a sculling championship on the Wanganui River on April 18. The weather lias interfered somewhat with the operations, but both men have done solid work both on water and on land. Paddon is still over weight, but Hadfield is in the pink of condition. Both covered the full distance to-day, pleasing their respective parties, Much interest is being taken in the race, and many enthusiasts visit tho course daily. The Sculling Committee at a meeting last evening decided to issue invitations to the Governor-General, the Prime Minister, the Leader of tho Opposition, and tho immediate pastPrirne Minister.
