A dramatic platform murder in tho presence of twelve hundred people was committed in tho Philharmonic Hall. Miluikoff, leader of the Russian Cadet Party, was speaking, when two Russian monarchists commenced firing from the front row of stalls. There was an instant panic. Friends on the platform tried to protect Miluikoff and others dashed down and seized the assailants. Nabokoff, an ex-member of the Supreme Court, was shot through interposing his body to save Miluikoff. Six others were wounded. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
