REDUCTION OF THE FLEET Melbourne, October 7. Three destroyers, the Tasmania, Tatton, and Success, are to be paid off in accordance with the scheme of defence retrenchment. It is stated that the fleet is now reduced to beyond the safety margin.—Press Assn.
