THE LADIES’ TOURNAMENT ' YESTERDAY’S RESULTS The New Zealand ladies’ golf tournament was continued yesterday, tho following being the results of the fourth round of championship matches:— Mrs. Williams beat Mrs. M'Carthy, 3 and 1. Miss Snodgrass beat Miss .Brandon, 2 and 1. Mrs. Orbell beat Mrs. Spiers, 2 and 1. Miss Wright beat Miss Gambrill, 2 and 1. Aliss Budd beat Mrs. Wilson, 1 up at 19th. i Aliss Bell beat Afiss Anderson, 4 and 2. Airs. Murphy beat Miss E. Brown at 21st. Aliss M. .Payton beat Aliss S. Payton, 4 and 3. Some of these, games were very close, with most exciting finishes. The match between Miss Wright and Miss Clambrill was followed by*a fair number of enthusiasts, who were rewarde.l by seeing a game not often surpassed. At the end of the first hair Miss Wright was ono up. Ihe tenth was squared in 4’s. Aliss Wright won the eleventh in 4 to 5, Aliss Gambriil the twelfth in 4 to 5, and the thirteenth in 5 to 6, making the game all square with 5 to play. The Timaru player took the 14th in 3 to 4, and tho 15th in 2 to 3, putting her two up and 3 to play. The 16th was halved in 4, Aliss Wright dormy two. The 17th was also halved in 4, leaving Miss Wright two up and one. The scores for the last eight holes played were as follow: —Miss Wright, 44563244 —- 82: Aliss Gambrill, 4545-1344-33.
