Hr Telerrnnh-Snecial Oorreanondent. Masterton, October 7. A long spell of dry weather in the Musterton district was terminated to-day by a soaking southerly rain, which lasted throughout the day, and showed no signs of clearing at fl p.m. Farmers and others throughout the district, have been cornplaining for some limo about the absence of moisture, and it. is confidently expected that to-day’s rain will greatly benefit the grass and crops.
