AUSTRALIAN TARIFF
RHPSB PHOSPH ATES PLACED ON FREE LIST. (Rec. July 8, 9.30 p.m.) Melbourne, July 8. The tariff debate was resumed to-day. It was decided to place superphosphates, which were now dutiable at 5 per cent, for British preferential, 15 per cent, for intermediate, and 25 per cent, for general. on tho free list. The House also ratified tho Cabinet .decision placing spirits for u.se in public hospitals on the tree list.—Press Assn.
