A blue sun Tins appeared once only nml will probably never be seen again. This ocourred in the summer of 1881, in the Sunda States. The cause was the eruption of a lar?e volcano. In the terrible shock Hint followed, a great range of mountains was blown completely into Hie air! The cavity loft after the explosion was 1000 ft. deep. Billions of tons of rocks, dust, and mud were blown upwards to a height of 17 miles.
