4- — WELLINGTON V. THE WORLD. The annual match, Wellington v. The World, was played on the Wellington Club's greens' oil Saturday, and it was, as usual, one of tiio most enjoyabio bowling events of the season. Thero
ivas a big attendance to witness the games, whilst (lie lady friend? of the member* of tlio club gave a very nice tea, to the visitors and members in the upsinirs pavilion, the tables being nicely decorated with choice flowers. As the Wellington Club won again, it has still the honour of an unbeaten record for this event. The Hutt Club, being unable to play, Victoria sent two rinks. The weather was line throughout, and the arrangements worked .ulmirably.
