Police and soldiers in motor lorries mado a scries of raids in Dublin at daybreak, arresting eight, including a town councillor. Mr. Michael Staines a Sinn Fein member of the House of Commons, escaped 'by a back door while tho polico were knocking at the front. Civilians attacked two constables at Ratlidrum, wounding one.
