i AN ARRANGEMENT TO HELP MINERS. The Prime Minister, Rl. Hon. W. F. Massev. has received information that Mm associated banks doing business in Ihe Dominion will be prepared to act as aeenls for miners or mining companies who mar desire to have their «old forwarded a point outside the Dominion lor realisation on their own account, tho banks charging a clear commission as remuneration for their services, and the owner of the gold defraying all expenses. The rales of commission decided on aro as follow'—On 10007.. or less, 1 per cent., with a minimum of .£1 10s. on any single narcel: over 100oz. and up to 50007... 1 n?r cent, on Hie first 100oz. and 1 per cent, on the excess; over oOOoz.,- J per cent,, on the whole parcel. This arrangement does not apply to coined trolil. It is intended lo meet the case of miners, who feel that I hey are not iretting the full result of their effort so loni as they arc unable to secure the enhanced prices now being paid for cold in London and New York.
