FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY, Present indicatious are for easterly .gales northward of Kawliia and East Oape 4 . and south-cast winds, stronc to gale, elsewhero. Stormy weather may bo expected generally, heavy rain over the North Island, and with rivers flooded in the northern and East Coast districts. Itain and snow in many parts of the south. Barometer fall, especially in the north.

Fair weather ruled on Saturday, but since Sunday cold, squally and showery conditions have been experienced in the East Coast districts and about Oook Strait, with high south-east wiuds prevailing. Although atmospheric pressure has been very high in the south, it has remained relatively low in the north, and there is now ovidenco of g< storm centre north-west of Norfolk Island.
