CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
Tho Island Bay Methodist Church hold its auiiivorsary meeting on Wednesday night. Tho Rov. Dr. Pinfold occupied Uie chair, and addressos were delivered by tho Rovs. E. Drako and J. M. Thompson, ii.A. The report of the year's work showed that good work had been done in all departments of Church effort. Refereuco was made specially to two officials who had lost their lives during the war, Messrs, Abernethy and iHasun, while two soldiers ivho have recently returned homo wero welcomed. The treasurer, Mr. R. H. Herron; read the balance-sheet, which was very satisfactory, and eoiilnineu a credit balanco. During tho evening tile Misso* Nichols and Stevens gavo a dialogue, and solas wore contributed by Miss Dixon and Messrs. liurd and Herron. The choir sang two ••uitlicnis, and the ladies of the congregation provided refreshments the conclusion of tho programme.
