Mrs. J. P. Luke will open a salo of ' home-made cakes at the I.\\.ua.. Fowlds's Building, 011 May 31. -This stall has been organised bv ; 'the members ot the Y.W.C.A. Entertainment Committee, ■ and no pains have been spared to liialto the sale attractive.- Tho-opportunity will be presented of buvmg good l , homemade cakes at reasonable prices, and oi helping tho Y.W.C.A. furnishing fund _ in its endeavour to got money lor vno new building in Boulcott Street. . The opening of tho literary circles.took place at the Y.W.C.A. 011 Monday evening, and in spite'of the exceedingly wet evening quite a fair number ol girls , assembled and listened to an address . by Miss England, president of the literary circlcs.
