Mixed hogget?, 20s. lid., 225., 225. 2d.; fair hoggets, Z6s„ 275., 275. 6d.; ewes, with 100 per cent, lambs, 25b. 6d.; small yearling steers, £3 155.; good yearling S.n. steers, £8, £0 3s.

Messrs. Abraham and 'Williams, Ltd., report:-At Falmcrston North on October 3 we had a good yarding of cattle. There ■was good competition for all lines of en.ttic. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. report at the Feilding yards on October 4 a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the tone of the market was, if anything, better than tho previous sale. Thn following prices were realised. Ewes and lambs, to 345. 6d.; hoggefß. 225. Competition was good, and practically all linos sold. Quotations :-Shcep: Small hoggets, 225. Bd.; mixed hoggets, 28s. to 31s. 6d.j wethers, 345. 2d.; light fat ewes, 345. 6d.: mixed ewes and lambs, 355. Cattle: Dairy cows, £8 15s. to £9 12s. 6d.: dairy heifers, to £12 7s. 6d.; springing heifers, to £15 17s. 6d.; springing cows, to £16 15s. A lino of the 46 yearling Shorthorn steers, sold in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan anu Mercantile Agency Co., Limited, reaped £8, and 23 at £8 3s.
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Masterton, report having held their weekly sale at Carterton on Friday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle. Competition was keon for • all stock of good quality, and tho following prices were realised:—Cull b.f. hoggets, 10s.; w.f. hoggest, 135.; good b.f. hoggets, 275.; springing heifers made £10, £12, to £14; springing cows, to £15 55.; empty cows, £8 19s. to £9 12s. 6d.; two-year heifers, £6; yearling Holstein bulls, £7 3s. 6d.; weaner pijs made 255. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having hold their fortnightly sale at Martinborough on Thursday, when they offered an exceptionally largo yarding of cattle. There was a largo attendance and practically a total clearance was made at the following prices:—Backward four-year bullocks, £U 55.; mixed-coloured forward-conditioned bullocks, £14; threeyear Holßtein bullocks, £13 10s.; forward cows, £9 ss. to £9 95.; cows with calves at foot, £10 10s'.; store cows, £7; two-year steers, £7 155.. £9 45., to £12; yearling Bteers, £4 19s. to £7 10s.; two-year heifers, £8 45.; yearling heifers, £4 19s. to £6 7s.
