INTERPLEADER SUMMONS. ■In the Supreme Court yesterday, beforo His Honour Mr. Justice llosking, wt involved case was heard. It was an interpleader summons ..brought to decido ivhethor Messrs. CI ray. and Jackson, solicitors (as trustees on behalf of certain creditors of J. and A. Wilson. Ltd.), or the. Bank of New South Wales were entitled to certain moneys, being the balance of moneys payable in respect of the contract for the erection, of considerable additions to .the General l'ost Office, Wellington. Mr. i>. S.' K. Maeassey appeared for the 'Crown, Sir John FinrlUy, K.C., with him Mr. J. V. Morrison, for the' .Bank of New South Wales, and Mr. C. I'. Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr. douglns' Jackson, for Messrs. Gray and -'ackson. Mr.'Maeassey intimated that the Crown ■had no further interest in the proceedings, aiid applied for permission to withdraw. from the case. The Crown had paid over to Gray and Jtickson the fund which .it had held,' by consent of the parties, ill trust, and he understood fho money linil been paid into a trust account. What ho desired to ask' for was an order tor the payment of disbursements out of the amount-held in trust; ■ .There was no objection expressed to the issue of such ait order, and the Crown was accordingly discharged from the proceedings. An order was made that all disbursements incurred by the Crown be paid by the party against whom costs may bo given on the decision of the issue. ■ Alio? the hearing of nrg'imfitl. which took up nearly tho whole day, His Honour reserved his decision.
