COMPLETE AGREEMENT REACHED,
Tho Conciliation Council sat yesterday tu hear tln» metal v:oi'ktrs* dispute. Comuiissioner W. Newton presided, and tho assessors were—Messrs. A. C. Mitchell, K E. Stonebanks, J. Orabtree (representing I'inployors). J. h'-rm. -). O'Krien, and A. Murray (representing employees). Tho employees asked .for a 47-hours week, with limitations as to the hours to bo worked every day. Tho wages soujuit the rate of Is. 7d. per hour, lhe offered l- ; - Id. per hour, and <1 -iV-hours' week willuuii limitation oi She hours lo be worked every day. Before the council rose a complete agreement was arrived at. It was agreed that there should be a 47-hours week— S! hours on fivo days and 4| hours on Saturdays. Tho rate of pay is to bo Is. od. per hour. . On the motion of Mr. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Murray, a hearty yoto of thanks waß accorded the commissioner,
