, ANNUAL REPORT. Tho annum report 01 tiie New Zealand. Ilereiord Cattle Breeders' Association states:—"The finances ot the association are in u most satisfactory condition. During the year tlie council invested £&tu in war bonds, 'tins with previous amounts taken up totalling J.UM ot binds ana certificates held' by the association.- After meeting all outgoings, tho accumulated funds amount to .£i(3S 15s. 5d., an increase of .£(>9 16s. 4d. for the' past twelve mouths. Tho association consists of 82 members, while a number of fresh herds are included in volume 20 (tho largest. Herd Book so far compiled by the council), which should be ready for circulation to members before, this report is issued. Never in tho history of tho association have so many transfers been recorded as during the past year, and the council notes with pleasure that the members are alive to the necessity of keeping up the standard of New Zealand Jlorefords by the importation of the best blood obtainable. . . . In accordance with the rules tho following retire by rotation:—The president (Mr. H. A. Kevins), vice-president (Mr. C. A. J. Levett), and three members 'of I council (Messrs. H. J. Dagsr, D. M'KenJ zie, and H'.- B. Stuckey), all of whom are eligible for re-election,"
