PAHIATUA LICENSING COMMITTEE

The Pahiatua Licensing Committee met in the courthouse to-day. Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., was chairman. The permanent transfer of the license of the Makuri Hotel from F. Lys to E. J. Winter, was granted. The following new licenses were granted:—Post; Office Hotel, Pahiatua, Prank Roach; Wanstead Hotel, William Storali; Makuri Hotel. E. Winter.

Renewals of licenses were granted as follow:—Masonic, Central, Post Office, and the Club Hotels, Woodville; Dudley Arms. Mangatainoka; Commercial. Club, and Rutland Hotels, Pahiatua; Herbertville Hotel; Duko of Edinburgh, Porangnhau; Roval Oak, Weber. The question of tho renewal of the license of tho Wimbledon Hotel was adjourned to the quarterly meeting, to permit of necessary improvements being made to the hotel. Tho licensee asked for a reduction of the license fee. The chairman stated that the committee could not deal with the application for reduction.

A wholesale license was granted to tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association,
