AMAZING DECISIONS
Sir,—The report in your Tuesday's issue of the bsllot appeals furnishes some amnzing decisions. While hundreds of married men with families are breaking up their homes, being ordered into camp, and while farming is no longer regarded by the military representatives or the Appeal Boards, as an essential industry, we read that decision is reserved sine die in tho case of a motor-tyre mechanic. Motors are simply a luxury. Absolutely, for a certain class, who are doing very well out of the war. . And tho most astounding thing i= that the chairman of the Na'tional Efficiency Board backs up the appeal, Extraordinary! A city tramway inspector is a scientific instrument maker has decision reserved. It would fearful calamity if the physical science department had to close up. Then, the other day one of the Mr. Lukes supported exemption for a Y.M.C.A. secretary. These things happen in the city.—l am, etc., PRETTY TOUGH.
