MONTHLY MEETING. The-montlilv-meeting; of the Wellington Land Board was held yesterday. The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. Ci. H. M'Clure) presided, and there were also present Messrs. J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Gcorgetti, and C. M'lntyre. Applications for Land. The following applications for land under Section 11 of tho Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, were approved :- Section 62, Block V, Karioi S.D., 6 acres, first-class land, 0.R.P., George Morgan; annual rent £3 10s. Section 6."!. Block V, Karioi S.D., sa, 10p., first-class land, 0.R.F., William Kvnn; annual rent. £3. Section 7, Block V, Maungakarctu S.D., 29a. 3r. -ip., first-class land; renewablb lease, Matthew Bell, juur.; annual real, .C 7 -Is. The following applications 'undei v section i of tho Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, were approved:— Section 2, Block XV, Retaruke survey district, 1251 acres, renewable lease, Herbert Spratt; annual rent. .£SO. Caitchon; price, ils. : With reference to Austin Miller's nppli- | cation for section 11, Kouane Settlement, it was resolved to regard it as having I lapsed through failure to pay the required deposit. . The Board spout tho greater part of yesterday in committee, and at 5.30 p.m. the meeting was adjourned until today.
