The Jtcw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report: At Ifangiotu, on Monday, we had a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle, and also offered a herd ol dairy cows on account of Mr. Fred, iwans. Cattle made late vjjluqs: sheop tailed to soil. Quotations: Forward ewes, Ms.; mixed, wcancrs, 205., 275., 30s„ Ms., „„ 6<i ' ; 8t -° ro C °WB, £5 Bs.; forward cows, p 12s. 6d.; fat cows, £11 6s„ £12 175.: hulls, £5, £6, £8 7s. 6d., £9. 15s. Dairy cows, on account Mr. Evans—These wero a particularly good lot, and met with Keen competition, the herd averaging £16 10s. Best prices were: £19 10s., £20, £21 55., £22 10s. . Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd.,- report having held' a very successful clearing sale of live stock, implements, etc., on account of Mr. W. J. Percy. A good attendance of buyers was present, and bidding was fairly animated throughout,' the sale, highly satisfactory prices beini; realised. Bidding waß fairly animated, and practically a total clearance was made under the hammer as follows:—M.S. two-tooths, 265. 6d.; light fat ewes, 245. 9d.; aged empty ewes, 15s. 6d.; medium shorn lambs, 14s. 3d.: small do., 7s. Bd.; forward cows, £8 55.; eighteen-month steers, £6 10b. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock ■ department,, Pahlotna, report on the undermentioned sales:— At Woodville, on Monday, a medium yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattlecame forward. We were successful in disposing of our Bheep entry at auction, j pMces being on a par with recent market | repdftg. With the exception of fat cows, | of which'there were a fair number yard- j ed, cattle were rather dull of sale, dairyreared weaners being exceedingly hard to quit. At Pahia'tua on Tuesday at Mangahao yards a small entry came forward. The sale was anything but hriSk, prices being in buyers' favour. Quotations:—l6s fouryear ewes, in lambs to Southdown ram. 245.
