An Italian official report states: " \Ve drove back patrols in the Gindicario and Agarina Valleys, and had successful minor engagements on tho Asiago Plateau. ' ARE AMERICAN TROOPS IN ITALY? Washington, December 28. Major Murphy, American Red Cross Commissioner in Europe, cables that "Americans are helping to hold the Piave line."
