AIR FIGHTS IN ITALY
EIGHT ENEMY MACHINES BROUGHT DOWN (Rec. December 29, 0.45 a.m.) LondGfn, December 27. An Italian official report states:— "Twenty-tive enemy .aeroplanes attempted to bombard an aviation camp westward of' Treviso. British and Italian aeroplanes ascended, and tho anti-aircraft guns forced the enemy to retire. ■ Eight enemy, machines were brought down. Eight machines renewed the attempt in the aftijrnoon. We drove them off, bringing three down. Altogether eight fell in our Tines and three in the enemy's lines. All ouv machines returned. The damage done to the camp was insignificant. —Aus.-N.Z.
