FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for variable wind!, : "• with, moderate to strong easterlies pre•dominating, and changing Bhortly tofreshening northerlies. The weather will be cloudy to overcast at times Kenorally, -with Bcattered rainfall. The ' barometer has a falling tendency. High westerly winds and unsettled and wet weather ruled on Monday, but the Btorm area passed to the eastward during the night, and conditions improved generally on Tuesday.
