On Monday, December 24, correspondence addressed to streets - in the city and suburbs will bo delivered from tho letter.carrlers' department (entrance upstairs from Featlieston Street at the Chief Post Office) from 8 to 9 p.m., also the public delivery counter will- bo open for dolivery of correspondence addressed to the Chief Post OBicc from 6 to 9 p.m. Tho parcel delivery counter will bo open from 8 to 9 p.m. On Tuesday, December 25 (Christmas Day), the Postal Department will bo closed In all its branches. Maila for dispatch by steamers sailing on Christmas Day will close at 8 p.m. on the previous Monday. Tho only dispatches of mails by trains on Christmas Day will oloso as follow:—For Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay, Mana. watu, Riingitikei, Wanganui and Taranaki districts at 6.50 am., for Auckland and Auckland district at 6 a.m. Tho city and suburban receivers will not be clcarcd dur<
ing the day, but the midnight clearances will .be made as usual. On Wednesday, December 26 (Boiing Day), the Chief Post ODice will be open in all its branches (eicept Money Order and Savings Bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for dispatch by stcametß will close at 8 a.m., and the only dispatches of mails by trains will close as follow:—For \Vairarapa, Hawke'a Bay, Jfanawatu, Bangitikel, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts at 6.30 a.m., for Auokland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. There will be one delivery by letter-carriers in the city and suburbs for which correspondence must be posted at the Chief Post Office by 7 a.m. The street receivers will not be cleared during the day; midnight clearance will be made as usual. On Monday, December 31, correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs will be delivered from the lettercarriers' department (entrance upstairs from Featherston Street at the Chief Post Office) from 8 to 9 p.m.; also the public delivery counter will be open for delivery of correspondence addressed to the' Chief Tost Oflico from 8 to 9 p.m. The parcel delivery-counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. On Tuesday, January 1 (New Year's Day), tho Postal Department will be closed in all its branches. Mails for dispatch by steamers sailing on Hew Year's Day will close at 8 p.m. on the previous Monday.
