LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Co.; Ltd., report having held their weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. They quote:—M.a, two-tooth sheep, to 265. 3d.; eighteen-month steers, £6 10s. to £7 10s.; store cowe, to £7 Ms.; vealers, 355. to £3; bulls) £12 17b. 6d. to £15 ss.- At Otaki on Wednesday there was a large entry of sheep and cattle. Although some really good sheep were yarded, bidding was Blow, and there wag a lack of competition. Cattle sold at lato rates. Prices realised were:—Eourtooth wethers,' to 295. 6d.; two-tooth ewes, to 245.; store ewes, 19s. £d.; light fat cowa, to £10; forward cows, to £8 55.; weaners, 23a. to £2 145.; young bulls, to £& 12s, Pins: Slips, to 16s. 3d.; porkers, to 30s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report:—At Hiniitangi on Monday we had a fair yarding of stock, which sold at following prices:—Quotations: Small shorn 2-tooths, 17s. 4d.; low and aged store cowa, £2 18s., £4 10s., £5; good'store cows, £7105., £7 145., £7175. 6d.; forward cows, £10; fat cows, £11 Js.; spirnging heifers, £7 155.; springing cows, £7-103., £7 17s. 6d.. '
