Competitions in tennis, croquet, ping-pong, _ quoits, skittles, shooting, etc., were indulged A concert was given by soldiers of tho Featherston Camp in the Masterton Municipal Hall on Saturday evening and a sum of £23. was realised for patriotic purposes. . A most enjoyable Christmas party was tendered in Masterton on Saturday to the wives and families of soldiers who have been killed in action or who aro at present on active service. Over one hundred wore present. Each child received a Christmas gift.
