CYCLING ACCIDENT
IN THE NGAHAURANGA GORGE.
Mr. Frank Easton, of 24 AVaripori Street, Newtown, met with a serious accident while cycling down the Ngahauranga Gorge on Sunday evening. Mr. Easton was accompanied by his son, who was riding a little behind him. The chain of the father's bicycle came off at a turn of the road, and the- hoy stopped to pick it up. Mr. Easton lost control of his machine, and collided with a bank, and was found by hie son. lying unconscious, with a bad cut in ms head. A passing (motor-lorry picked Mr. Easton up, and proceeded on,to the city. Dr. Pattio was telephoned for. and ordered his removal to the Wellington Hospital. Mr. Easton was reported yesterday to liave regained consciousness, and to be making pood progress. His condition is not serious.
