THREE DAYS OF FIERCE FIGHTING
Lisbon, December 9. After three days' fierce lighting betweu the troops faithful to the Government and tho Revolutionaries under Paes, fiie Government, in order to avoid disastrous dissensions in tho Army, proposed a cessation of hostilities, and resigned. ORDER RE-ESTABLISHED NEW REGIME WILL SUPPORT THE ALLIES. (Rec. December 10, 8.50 p.m.) Madrid, December 9. Order has been re-established in Portugal. Senor Paes, tho leader of the Moderates, announces that the sole object of tho now Government will be to safeguard the country and tho Republic.
