9 FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong westerly winds, changing to southerlies northwards of New Plymouth to Napier, and high south-easterlies prevailing elsewhere. Expect unsettled and cloudy weather, foggy in parts., and rain generally. Barometer falls, but rising everywhere ,in from ton to sixteen hours. A. disturbance at present centred off tUo West Coast temporarily modified tho eifcct of a westerly depression, which has nass : ed in tho south. On Saturday and Bunday tho East Coast districts experienced fair and warm weather, t but dull and misty conditions have Binco ovorspreud the wholo Dominion, with rain in n,any parts.
