Tho Comedy King colt Seigneur, purchased on behalf of a North Island owner at 825biis., is from the Now Zealand-bred mare Our Queen, a half-sister by Birkoilhead to The Aborigine, Maori King, ana King Hilly. Our Queen is a daughter or the Slcimiiik marc Indian Queen. On tho racing truck Our Queen was not the equal of the other progeny of Indian Queen. The last-named was only mated with Birkenhead once. At Avoudale on the second day ho chased his stablo companion Kilbeggan home, and at Ellerslie he finished third to Informal ami Hineamarii in tho A.R.O. Welcome Stakes. The well-known horseman, A. Oliver, who is now a bombardier in tho artillery, writes interestingly" from Sling Camp. Oliver has just finished a vacation in London, and expected to leave for France a few days «fter the posting of ids letter. Hymestra, who changed hands last wools at 2050 guineas, should not be a dear colt at that price. He is very favourably handicapped in the Railway Handicap at Ellerslie, and there are several valuablo welght-for-ago engagements in front of him.
