The 'following appointments, promotions, retirements, and transfers of officers of the New Zealand Staff Corps and Territorial Force are gazetted :— Appointments. Captain F. S. Goldingham, 6th (Maimwatu) Mounted Rifles, relinquishes tis appointment as assistant quartermastergeneral, Auckland Military District. Dated October 11, 1917. Captain W. V. Wilson, Queen Alexandra's 2nd (Wellington-West Coast) Mounted Rifles, is appointed assistant quartermaster-genernl, Auckland Military District. Dated October 11, 1917. Lieutenant J. De P. Manson, Ist (Canterbury) Mounted 'Rifles (Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry), Reserve cf Officers, is appointed an attesting officer under the Military Service Act, 1916, Canterbury Military District. Dated March 26, 1917. Lieutenant L. G. Ash ton, Unattached List (b), General List, is nnpointed an attesting officer under the Military Service Act, 1910. Auckland Military District. Dated March 30, 1917. Promotions, Retirements, and Transfers. Staff. Lieutenant-Colonel G. C. B. 'Wolfe (Reserve of Officers, General List) is posted to the Retired List with the honorary rank of colonel, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated November 1, '917. Lieutenant-Colonel ,T. G. Hughes, C.M.G., D.5.0.. N.Z. Staff Corps, is posted to the Retire! List, ith Dermission to retain His rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated March 31, 1917. Ist (Canterbury) Regiment. Coast Defence Detachment. ■ The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Donald Dobson is confirmed under, the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. 2nd Lieutenant Donald Dobson to be lieutenant, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated May 31, 1917. 2nd Lieutenant R. H. Mottram, to bo lieutenant, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated May 31, 1917. 2nd (South Canterbury) Regiment. Lieutenant M. W. P. Blathwayt, from the Unattached List (b), to bo lieutenant. Dated October 17, 1917. New Zealand Medical Corps. Captain IT. H. Cheeseman, N.Z.E.F., is struck off the strength, with effect from October 15, 1917, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority, viz., captain, as from May 30, 1904 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 61, of July 21, 190f). A. L. Christie, M.8., to be captain. Dated September 13, 191 G. New Zealand Army Nursing Service, Staff Nurse Mabel • E. Jamieson, N.Z.E.F., is struck off the strength, with effect from July G, 1917, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated July G. 1917. Staff Nurse Margaret Shuker, N.Z.E.F., is struck off the strength, with effect from July 10, 1917, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated July 10, 1917. New Zealand Army Pay Department. Honorary Lieutenant (temp.) C. S. Robertson, to bo temporary captain whilst employed as staff paymaster and inspector of camp pay staffs. Dated October 17, 1917. v' Unattached List (b). Lieutenant M. W. P. Blathwayt is transferred to the 2nd (South Canterbury) Regiment. Dated October 17,1917. ■' Unattached List (b), General List. ' J. B, Bealo is granted the temporary rank of captain whilst holding the appointment of military representative to a Military Service Board. Dated October 8, 1917. 'Memorandum. - Captain T. B. Bax, N.Z.E.F., is struck off the strength, with effect from November 16, 1917, and is posted to the Retired List with his original rank, viz., captain (vide N.Z. Gazette of December 27, 1912).
