THE PURCHASE ARRANGED.
The Prime Minieter mot representatives of the cheese producers yesterday morning, and discussed with them tho Imperial Government's olfer to buy this season's output of cheese at 9id. per lb. f.o.b. Mis Massey explained tlio position fully, and subsequently the delegates considered the matter among themselves. Last -night the Prime Minister told a Dominion reporter that the producers representatives had decided to accept the offer. A few minor details remained to be adjusted. The onantity of cheese to be purchased by the Imperial authorities was 50,000 tone. Mr. Maesey added that a. settlement regarding the purchase of butter hnd not yet l>een reached.
