The 'following sales were effected:—6s nogcets, 325. 3d.; 49 hoggets, on account of J. O'Neil 395.; 1 fat cow, £12 155.; 2 fat cows, «9 15s'.; 1 fat bullock. £16 17b. 6d.; yearling ■- steers, •£4 12s. 6d.. £6 17s. 6d., to £9 • 3s. At their weekly Pahiatua stock sale, held at Mangahao yards, the firm offered o. fair vardins of sheen and a Bmall entry of'cattle to a fair attendance of buyers.

Although sheep were in very good demand, yet a fair amount of our entry was passed in at auction. The bulk of the entry was Quitted at good prices. Young cattle in all oases exceeded vendors' reserves, as also good springing heifers, and the auctioneers advise that vendors in future would be well advised to bring stock of this class forward to the market.
