: . 'The Thorndon Bowling Club will open its season to-morrow at. 2.15 p.m. A cordial invitation has been extended to bowlers and their' lady friends to be present on the occasion. During the recess the green has undergone considerable renovation, and judging by tho improvement apparent the club expects a good playing green this season. Lyall Bay teams to play against Petone on Saturday will be as under:— Away: Hodgkinson, Goldfinch. Ryder, Burgess (s.); Kilfov, A. Ward, Irvine, King (fi.); Eassou, 'Clater, Martin. Morrah (s.). Home: Carman, Gilbert, Tyrrell, Fairwav (s.); Toomer. Hackwoiih, Purchas, Dillon (s.); Dallison, Stone, lleid, Boilings (s.).
