A pen of 56 fat wethers, bred and offered on account of 'the Hon. J. D. Ormond. realised £2 9s. id., the purchaser being Mr. G. Loitcn, butcher, Pahiatua. Our yarding of cattle consisted principally of store cows and -springing heifers. Quotations:—Forward, -cows £9 Ss., £9 155.; store cows, £7,. £8 .10s.; cows, low condition, <£5 15b.; springing heifers, £9, £9 sb. to £12 10b.; spring"irig cows, £10 to £12 10s.; cowb with "calves at foot, £7 155., £10, £10 10s. At -Pahiatua last Tuesday there was a fair entry of sheep' and a 6mall entry of cat--tle-to a fair attendance of .those mter--ested. "Our yarding of iheep consisted .principally of hoggets; for which there •was a Tory good inquiry: The following 'sales were effected: 84' hoggets (good),'3os. 4d;j 130 do.
