PROTECTIVE REGULATIONS

The following new regulations vore gazetted last night:— , f ■1. Without the leave of the AttorneyGeneral, no person , 6hall exercise any power of sale conferred by any mortgage, bill of sale, or other security over the property of a soldier, whether such mortgage, bill of sale, or secunty was give? before or, after tho making of these regulations, and whether person whoso proeprty is subject thereto became a eoldier before or after the <lato of the mortgage, bill.of sale or purity. 2. Nothing in these regulations shall apply to any mortgage, bill cf sale, or security to which the Mortgages Extension Act, 1914. is applicable. , 3 The consent of the Attorney-General under these regulations shall bo pven only on the recommendation of a Stipendiary Magistrate, and evenr application for such consent shall, be accomnanied by the written recommendation of a Stipendiary Magistrate accordingly. ■1 "Soldier" .means an officer, warraut officer, non-commissioned officer, "' »{*» of/an Expeditionary Forco Expeditionary Forces Act, 1915, who 13 in receipt of military pay as euch cr who, though not in rccoipt of « uch W' lias not yet been a member of that lores for two months.
