—* The Wairarapa bowling centre has decided to hold'a tournament at Masterton during New Year week. The control of the tournament has been delegated to the Masterton and Park Clubs. It is hoped that the Soldiers Club In Masterton will be ready for occupation bv the end of November, lhe club will contain a reading-room, social room, bil-liard-room. office, living rooms for custo'dian, and a dormitory containing eighteen beds. ... i The first load of this season s .wool was delivered at the Masterton railway station on Thursday. .It camo from the farm of Messrs. Perry Bros., of'le Ore A.' fair number of. licences have been issued in Masterton in anticipation of the opening ,of tho trout-fishing season on Monday.
