INQUIRY TO BE HELD. A statement about the holding of a» inquiry into the loss of the Port Keinbla, was made by (he Minister of Ua'rine (toft Hon. G. W. KueseU) in reply to a question b'v Mr. IC. i'lctcber. The Minister said that instructions iiadbeen issued to the Department to arrange for an inquiry at the earliest possible date. The inquiry was to be held on Thursday next. It would be conducted 1,,- Mr' W. 0. Eidclell, S.M.; and there would be associated with Him as "assessors Captain Neville, lately senior commander id the Union Company's service, and the second assessor on this occasion would not be a-nautical man, but a scientific man, Mr.' ITLaurin, Dominion Analyst.
