FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT' 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications aro Tor a falling baromoter everywhere, and high, and squally northerly and westerly winds. Hspect unsettled o,nd cloudy weather, with rain following generally. Strong northerly winds have predominated, gales being reported . at many places iu and southwards of Cook Strait. Heavy rein has fallen on tho West Coast and southernmost dietriots of theScuth Island, and cloudy conditions have prevailed generally.
