i ■ i ANOTHER GERMAN MOVE EXPECTED THE POPE'S EFFORTS New York, September 19. The United Press correspondent at Washington reports that cable messages from Home state that the Pope made his last peace proposals in the belief that the war must continue for two on three years, -when the full effect of the power of the United States must be felt.. Vatican circles hint that the Allies have agreed to ignore the Pope's efforts, and that the Church will not be permitted to participate in the ultimate negotiations.
